The Story
ICP's debut in Hungary will take place as part of the Franz Liszt Festival at the Budapest Music Center. The celebratory program features Béla Bartók's Contrasts, a thrilling 20th-century staple; two popular orchestral works by Ravel and Stravinsky, specially arranged by Yuval Shapiro for the ensemble; Claude Debussy's delightful Children's Corner suite, dedicated to his daughter and performed here in a unique version by harpist Carlos Salzedo; and Camille Saint-Saëns' arrangement of Franz Liszt's dynamic symphonic poem, Orpheus.
