
Itamar Leshem
Born in Israel, Itamar is an accomplished horn player who performs regularly across Israel, the U.S.A., Asia, and Europe. He has appeared as a soloist under the baton of Maestro Zubin Mehta on international tours, and has performed with orchestras in China, Europe, and South America.
He is a member of the Tel Aviv Wind Quintet, the Sabrass Brass Quintet, and the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, and frequently collaborates with leading ensembles and orchestras, including the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra.
Itamar is a graduate of the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance and Roosevelt University in Chicago, where he studied under the legendary Dale Clevenger. His studies were generously supported by the America-Israel Cultural Foundation.
He has performed at major festivals such as the Salzburg Festival, Lucerne Festival, BBC Proms, Jerusalem Chamber Music Festival, and Landsberg Chamber Music Festival, and in renowned venues including Carnegie Hall, Teatro Colón, and La Scala.
A former member of the Israel Symphony Orchestra, Rishon LeZion, Itamar has also led the brass section of the Young Israel Philharmonic Orchestra in recent years.
