Ira Givol

Cellist Ira Givol is a devoted chamber musician.  He plays both modern and baroque cello, as well as the Viola Da Gamba.  As a founding member of the Tel Aviv Trio he has won many international awards.

He has played in some of the world's most spectacular concert halls, among others: the Philharmonie in Berlin, the Auditorium du Louvre in Paris, the Kennedy Center in Washington.

Ira is a founding member of the baroque ensemble “Trivalazzia”, and from 2009 a regular member of the baroque ensemble “Il Gardelino”, Belgium. from 2013 he is the principal cellist of the “geneva camera” orchestra.

Ira is a graduate of the Cologne Musikhochschule and a former student of Hillel Zori, Frans Helmerson, Lawrence Lesser and Rainer Zipperling . He is playing on a Collin Mezin cello, lent to him by the America-Israel cultural foundation.
