
Hed Yaron-Meirson
Israeli violinist Hed Yaron-Meirson is the assistant concertmaster of the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra. A graduate of the Thelma Yellin High School and the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance (where he studied with Hagai Shaham and Ludmila Feldman), he continued his studies at the music academies of Munich, Zurich, Graz and Salzburg with Ana Chumachenco, Nora Chastain, Yair Kless, Reinhard Goebel and Igor Ozim.
Hed is a recipient of scholarships and awards from the America-Israel Cultural Foundation, the foundation Freunde Junger Musiker Deutschland, the Ronen Foundation ,and the Verbier Festival Academy, and a prize-winner at various competitions, including, the Aviv (Israel), the Mendelssohn Competition (Berlin, in the string quartet category) and the Bach competition in Leipzig.
He is fascinated by music of different periods and styles and pursues a busy solo and chamber career. He was also a member of the Orchestra Academy of the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra and of the European Union Baroque Orchestra.
